  1. I think that's the bee that came home with us when we got some fresh sunflowers.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Lori. I like your shots as well! And, after reading your bio, I may have to find out about Scandinavian crime fiction!

  3. I love sunflowers. They look so happy - like big smiles. I always thought that sunflowers should replace roses as the flower symbolizing a gift of love.

  4. Beautiful! And we so often forget to shoot the reverse or underside of things, which can be so interesting.

    1. Hey Susan, I got the idea of shooting the underside after I saw a painting of the back one. It has taught me to change my perspective sometimes. :) Have a great day!

  9. I love making sunflower mandalas in mosaic, but I've never considered the back view before seeing your photo. It's fabulous with those green leaves.

  13. It is funny that I see a photo of the back of a sunflower. I took a photo like this once....and it is one of my all time favorites...and a friend of mine was like 'why would you photograph the BACK of the sunflower??"...I think it is just as beautiful and far less photographed. Love your photos!!!

  15. Beautiful photographs! But wow, that's the first flower I've seen where the back might be prettier than the front.
