  2. Mary, this is our favorite weekend stomping ground! I bet the Rhododendron are in full bloom in the lower elevations. The Mountain Laurel looked good when were there about 2-3 weeks ago. Roan Mountain State Park has a gorgeous Rhododendron garden. Have you been? It's been years, since we've been there. It's usually too busy for us to try to go during the peak season. Fabulous #WW photos!

    1. They were actually in full bloom up over 5000 feet. Ours have been done for weeks down here in SC, so I was delightfully surprised to see them again!

      Hubby and I decided we need to ride the ridge more often. It's so beautiful. It was raining off and on so there were almost no people.

      We haven't been to Roan Park. It's about 3 hours away from us. We were down near Asheville and Waynesville. Have a great week!
