    1. Thanks Erika! I was so used to seeing dolphins on nature show in the warm waters of the world, that I was surprised to see them in North Carolina. :)

  5. We have a knack for finding dolphins any time we are near water. Capturing them on film is another matter. A bit like the whales that refused to play the game and we kept missing photographing them, and would just end up with a big splash.

    1. You have to learn to anticipate the movements. I took quite a few "misses" to get some good ones! We definitely never see whales in our neck of the woods. But a great white made the news recently in North Carolina for attacking a swim instructor. I grew up here and have never ever heard of a great white off our coast. Hope you get some whale shots!

    1. LOL. I did take a lot of shots to get some good one! Digital is relatively free...take more shots than you think you need and delete the bad ones!
