Wordless Wednesday

Okay, so this week isn't completely wordless. Anyone feel like they're weathering storms in life right now? This is a reminder of the beauty to be found in the midst of the storm. (And yes, I am talking to myself as well.)

Amazing Lightning Storm

If you leave a link, I'll be happy to pop by and visit your blog and leave a comment as well.
(It may take me a couple of days, but I'll get there!)
Have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Beautiful lightning photos, Mary! It must take a lot of skill to capture lightning with a camera.

    1. Hey Eric, I opened the front door of my house, put the camera on a tripod and still got soaked taking these shots. I did a time exposure of about 5 seconds, f22. Took shots for several moments. I was so thrilled to get some good ones! Thanks for dropping by.

    1. Thanks Michelle! I enjoyed your post today. To be a kid again. So I didn't get muddy, but I did stand in the rain yesterday. Doesn't that count? Have a great day!

  10. You found a way to make something scary look gorgeous! I have to admit though, the last thing in the world I thought of during the lightning storm we went through last year was pictures. You have never seen a family move so fast to get out of harms way. :) These are really, really good. Glad I found your blog.

    1. LOL. Even though I was inside the front door, my kids were begging me to shut the door and come inside! I probably should have, but I had to get the shots! Thanks for stopping by. I liked your WW shot.

  19. Love lightening shots, and as we enter the summer season soon, which is when we get our 'good' thunder storms, I hope to get some, as its a new genre for me!!!

Thnaks for visiting me, I hope you liked my (near) spring theme!!

    1. I hope you can get some good shots. I took these out of my front door. Literally. It's the most open view from my house and I was thrilled with the shots. I did about a 5 second exposure at f22 on a tripod. And I took probably 20 shots to get three with the actual lightning bolts.

Those tulips are beautiful! But fall is coming and I'll definitely post them! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

    1. LOL. I've always loved a good storm! My siblings and I would even go out into the storms as kids. But, I had to protect my equipment so I stood inside the front door and still got soaked! Thanks for stopping by!
