Okay, so this week isn't completely wordless. Anyone feel like they're weathering storms in life right now? This is a reminder of the beauty to be found in the midst of the storm. (And yes, I am talking to myself as well.)

(It may take me a couple of days, but I'll get there!)
Have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful lightning photos, Mary! It must take a lot of skill to capture lightning with a camera.
ReplyDeleteHey Eric, I opened the front door of my house, put the camera on a tripod and still got soaked taking these shots. I did a time exposure of about 5 seconds, f22. Took shots for several moments. I was so thrilled to get some good ones! Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteThose are such difficult shots to get. Well done!
ReplyDeleteAs I said above, I got soaked getting those shots, but it was well worth it! Enjoyed your blog today! Thanks.
DeleteInspirational! And beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle! I enjoyed your post today. To be a kid again. So I didn't get muddy, but I did stand in the rain yesterday. Doesn't that count? Have a great day!
DeleteVery dramatic photo! Found you through Aquariann's Wordless Wednesday blog.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your stopped by. I love her work too! Yours was funny. Hope to see you again. Have a great day.

DeleteDropping in from Aquariann's Wordless Wednesday
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos!
I appreciate that Candace! :) Have a great day!
DeleteYou found a way to make something scary look gorgeous! I have to admit though, the last thing in the world I thought of during the lightning storm we went through last year was pictures. You have never seen a family move so fast to get out of harms way. :) These are really, really good. Glad I found your blog.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Even though I was inside the front door, my kids were begging me to shut the door and come inside! I probably should have, but I had to get the shots! Thanks for stopping by. I liked your WW shot.
DeleteNice shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily. Pop back by on Fridays for my photo tips. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteMother nature is definitely showing us all who's boss!
ReplyDeleteYes, she was. But it was exciting and fun to get the shots!

DeleteGreat shots... gonna try it myself (if it ever rains again!)
ReplyDeleteI had just told a friend I wanted to get a lightning shot and two days later, I did! You'll get your chance. Nice blog post by the way. Thanks for dropping by!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Mary! Hope you are weathering the storms alright...
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my WW today: Instagram Images @ ImagesByCW
Thanks Claudia. It was a beautiful storm. No damage, just lots of light and noise!
DeleteLove lightening shots, and as we enter the summer season soon, which is when we get our 'good' thunder storms, I hope to get some, as its a new genre for me!!!
ReplyDeleteThnaks for visiting me, I hope you liked my (near) spring theme!!
I hope you can get some good shots. I took these out of my front door. Literally. It's the most open view from my house and I was thrilled with the shots. I did about a 5 second exposure at f22 on a tripod. And I took probably 20 shots to get three with the actual lightning bolts.
DeleteThose tulips are beautiful! But fall is coming and I'll definitely post them! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Amazing captures! It stormed all last weekend in Delaware, but I didn't attempt any photos.

Hey Kristin! Thanks for stopping by. I love your Allium shot. :)
DeleteWell captured! So hard to get them! You were also brave - I would be hiding - or at least trying to pretend it wasn't happening:) Great shots.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I've always loved a good storm! My siblings and I would even go out into the storms as kids. But, I had to protect my equipment so I stood inside the front door and still got soaked! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteAlways happy to pop over to your site! Ill check out Observing Beauty. Thanks for stopping Sue! Have a great day!
