Welcome to Wordless Wednesday!
But today's post will have words!
I'm combining Wordless Wednesday and my Photo Tip about holiday/family shots.
Why you may ask?
Well, I have all my kids home for the holidays.
I want to focus on them for the next couple of weeks so I need to step away from blogging for a couple of weeks.
So...I will return for Wordless Wednesday around Jan. 5.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas or Hanukkah!
Do you see the reflection of the tree in his eyes? |
Focus in on something important to you. |
My kittens won't be like this next year so I want this memory! |
Change perspective!! I was on the floor to get this shot of my cat standing and my son watching. Definitely worth it! |
TIP 1: Get your camera out and ready! This may seem obvious but if your camera isn't even out, you can't take any shots.
TIP 2: Take pictures of your family, cousins, grandkids, cats, dogs. Again, this may seem obvious, but sometimes we forget to record the mundane and ordinary things our families do together. Is there a special meal you have? Favorite family games? TAKE PHOTOS during those times.
TIP 3: Take some closeups! Of family, the dog, the tree, the menorah. I couldn't get that picture of my son without getting pretty close to him. But look at that reflection! Pretty cool!
TIP 4: Take some overall shots. A shot of the food on the table or everyone playing a Wii together will make for great memories in the future!
You can do this!
Get out your camera and play around for 5 minutes after you finish reading this. Try to get closeups of your desk if you need to. Or your cup of coffee. It matters more that you try than your subject at the moment. Just practice now so you'll be ready for the big day!
