Welcome back for Wordless Wednesday!
This lovely starfish decided to come up for a quick photo shoot before heading back into deeper water while we were on vacation recently.

You too Joyce! Loved your dogs reaction!
DeleteI have not ever held a star fish, I think they are the coolest little creatures. We had a brindle star fish in an aquarium at one time. They loved to eat brine shrimp!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Thanks for dropping by Karren! The starfish kind of tickles when it starts moving! You can see in the picture with my son how it moves.
DeleteHave a great day!
Great photographs Mary!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy! It was so good to see you at Blue Ridge! We'll have to get there early and I'll go do a nature shoot with you! Did you get the bluebirds by the pond? They were feeding the whole time I was doing head shots. So, I wouldn't move when the daddy came to feed them so as not to scare him off! There was another nest of a different bird under the eves. I should figure out what it was. Have a great day!
DeleteThat's so cool! There's so much in nature to photograph.
ReplyDeleteI love that the water was so clear that morning! Usually, it's a bit cloudy from the shells and and what not. :) I agree, nature is my inspiration!
DeleteCool shots! Have a great night.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I have never seen one move!
ReplyDeleteAwww as always nice photos & will be reading those tutorials again. New knowledge for me yey! #WW

ReplyDeleteMakes me want to go to the beach! Great photos. :)
ReplyDeleteThat pretty pictures, I like this beautiful starfish!
ReplyDeleteThe level of detail is amazing.
ReplyDeleteSplendid starfish! And wow, I wish Delaware's water was that clear. I don't go in farther than my toes because not being able to see what critters are close freaks me out.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing that you were able to hold the starfish, I've always thought they were so beautiful! Never held one or got so close to one before. Thanks for the pary and great photos. Now following on G+. :)
